The golden rule of Grimoire and how to follow it.

By nature, Grimoire is a game of secrets and supernaturals. We do not allow instant character death in threads (unless previously agreed upon between both parties). However, if your character intentionally (or mistakenly) tempts fate in game with how they interact with others, there is the potential for them to die.

Grimoire works off of a post-based warning system. Should your character find themselves in a sticky situation they will have two rounds to exit the thread. If they do not and the other character rolls a successful strike, they could die. It is the responsibility of the opposing character to make their intentions clear, whether through direct dialogue or thought process.
Dice Guide
Dice are required to be used for in-character combat, power usage, and persuasion. (Unless the results of said conflict/interaction have been predetermined).

They can be optionally used for making a variety of in-character decisions ranging from the big to small.

Required Roles:

Follow the listed format: This must be posted before you post your roll.

Thread Name: Title of the thread this roll is for.
Roll: Combat/power/persuasion
Odds: (see the list of specified odds below)

All required rolls will be out of 100 ( /roll 1d100 )

Vampire Persuasion:

  • 1-70 Failure
  • 71-100 Success

Witch Power:

  • 1-40 Failure
  • 41-100 Success
Please note that if your witch has a strong power and you roll a hit, you must roll an additional /roll 1d5 to measure the character’s success. (One is barely successful, five is very successful). The staff team will tap you upon acceptance to let you know if you will be required to make these additional rolls.

Physical Attacks: Each species has its own pairing-specific odds.

Human x Human:
  • 1-50 Failure
  • 51-100 Success
Human x Witch:
  • 1-50 Failure
  • 51-100 Success
Human x Vampire:
  • 1-70 Failure
  • 71-100 Success
Human x Shifter:
  • 1-75 Failure
  • 76-100 Success
Witch x Witch:
  • 1-50 Failure
  • 51-100 Success
Witch x Human:
  • 1-50 Failure
  • 51-100 Success
Witch x Vampire:
  • 1-60 Failure
  • 61-100 Success
Witch x Shifter:
  • 1-65 Failure
