It would be ridiculous to claim there wasn't some simpler, primitive drive that found all the bouncing and posturing to be tempting in its own right. The water helped to diminish that, the still human shreds tattered but holding some slight semblance of shape, they did the rest. Equal parts curious and well aware of the limited resources to which she was bound, she took their distraction with one another as a blessing.

 Moving towards the source of both cat companions to see what fragments of their human lives they'd left in the muck leading to the water. Stealing the occasional wary glance as she kept low and minded the placement of each massive paw with every stride over. Using her nose to push aside articles of clothing and stealing glances back to the water from time to time to make sure she didn't break up the good time gang.
